I am not above eating "cheap" Chinese food. In fact, we love Daily China Express for their big portions of various dishes with 1/2 steamed white rice & 1/2 noodles. (They also have brown rice if you like.) Quick, friendly, tasty and super affordable. You can get a sizable meal in a hurry for cheap. But that's not to say the quality isn't good. It's good! My wife and I usually split a combo with two items to share. I especially like the chicken wings which are (I believe) 2 bucks for four big meaty wings.
This place is busy especially at lunchtime when (mostly) hard working folks need a filling and affordable meal. There are so MANY hot & ready choices here to choose from. Favorites like beef & brocolli, Kung Pao chicken and so much more. Everything is hot and fresh with lots of veggies and great big steamy trays of deliciousness. Lots of regular customers means that not only is this place popular but dishes are continuously prepared and ready to grab and eat immediately. When I was on a tight budget (read: totally broke), the generous portions felt like a feast that would be breakfast, lunch AND dinner. Now that I don't have to necessarily count my all my pennies, I still eat here. Why? Because it's good. It's a family owned place and I like it. Period. I believe they also own Daily Donuts right across the street but that's another review for another time..
If you are looking for fancy traditional Szechuan or Mandarin food you might want to look elsewhere. This is American style Chinese food that is hot, fresh and ultimately affordable. Ample portions, friendly service and there's even some parking in the lot if you're lucky.
I'll be going there from time to time when the mood strikes. In fact, some chicken wings with Sriracha sound kinda good right about now..

I FINALLY FOUND THE BEST CHINESE FOOD!!!! I loved their orange chicken, wonton soup, ORANGE CHICKEN. Fried rice and chow mein. I'm pretty sure everything else taste good too. I will be coming here more often.

The way chinese food is supposed to be made. Cheap, quick,  and tasty!

Their food was very fresh, tasty, reasonable, big portion, not greasy. For a fast food place they have everything anything a Chinese restaurant would have. I truly recommend trying it once, before you scratch fast food on your list.  You could get meal and a drink for under $10.

Only thing is they don't have a restroom, other than that service was on point!

So, I do like fast food Chinese.  When I used to go to Kaiser on Sunset, I used to visit this one a bit.  A little cheaper than Panda Express, they're alright.  It's satisfying.  Combo A in Echo Park is the only fast food Chinese I would consider traveling to, but everything else, just go to your local one to get your fill.  China Express is satisfying and does the job.  There's not a whole lot happening in this shopping center though...  well, Los Feliz is up the street, East Hollywood and eventually K-Town when you're going South on Vermont, going East hits Silverlake and then Echo Park, and going West is Thai Town and more of Hollywood.  Considering all the choices, you must really want China Express if this is your choice.  I don't blame you because that's what I do!
